everyone's a v.i.p. to someone

just a short note to direct you to a transcript of the go! team interview i did last week. it's very interesting - sam dook is a lovely guy. can't wait to see them at the big day out!

the interview is here, at a new blog i'm starting due to my relocation to sydney in 10 days (shit! that's so soon...). tim and i have big plans for a huge website that will surpass pitchfork media in pretension. more details on that later, though. more details, too, will be up here on wednesday, about a super exciting christmas eve bash!!!

'lost, picking flowers in the woods' - you just had it as a header somewhere i think. small world on the internet.

yeah. the band that i used the title from is a bit like boards of canada. black moth super rainbow. were you looking for them? have you heard the new boards of canada?

yeah, i've actually been into them for a while now... sometime last year i bought an album off of tobacco himself by sending cash in an envelope... i don't have any US dollars anymore so i was looking to see if there was any NZ distribution for that new EP.

the new boards album is quite nice... a really lush sound. 'satellite anthem icarus' and 'macquarie ridge' (on the japanese version) are really ethereal, my favourites i think...

they've done some really nice remixes recently too - pretty much original songs - the clouddead, beck and boom bip ones are wicked. i actually like them better than some of the songs on the new album!

you have an email or something? it'd be interesting to know what your up to...

yeah. i really like the progression they've made on the latest record since their earlier stuff, despite what a lot of reviews of it have said.

my email is richardmacf@gmail.com . drop me a line sometime. i leave on the 1st of january.
